Our Story
MotionPath was founded in 2014 by Dr. Marianne Aquino, a Doctor of Physical Therapy who spent nearly a decade working in the rehab wing of a large private hospital in Metro Manila. She loved the work but was quietly frustrated by the pace — 15-minute slots, rotating therapists every few weeks, and billing systems that nudged patients toward more modalities than they actually needed. Filipinos with real, persistent pain deserved better than that.
So she leased a small second-floor unit at Greenbelt Mansion in Legazpi Village, hung one second-hand treatment table, and opened the doors with a single commitment: every patient would get a full 60-minute first visit, and the same therapist would stay with them from assessment to discharge. No rotation, no upselling, no rushed ten-minute fixes. Word spread slowly at first — a few office workers from the neighboring condos, a couple of lolas who heard from their church group — but it spread.
Eleven years later, MotionPath has grown to a team of 9 licensed therapists, a dedicated geriatric home-visit program, and treatment rooms equipped for shockwave, TECAR, and dry needling. We have cared for more than 14,200 patients across Makati, Taguig, Pasig, Mandaluyong, and San Juan. But the clinic is still deliberately boutique — we cap our daily bookings so that no therapist is ever stretched thin, and every new hire is mentored by a senior for at least six months before taking on their own caseload. The vision hasn't changed: evidence-based care, delivered slowly enough to do right.
